My 11 year-old son and I had come to visit the battlefields of the Somme, so to find the hotel was actually built on the site of the battle was unbelievable! The hotel is fresh and modern with all facilities available except an evening meal - as we arrived from London at 8pm we would have preferred not to have to go into the town of Albert to eat. But that was the only 'down' side to the hotel and, to be fair, I did not check in advance whether food was served in the evening. That apart, we found everything to be ideal and having free on-site parking was important. We intend returning for the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme in 2026 and will certainly stay then at Ibis Albert Pays de Somme!

Michael

The staff were extremely helpful, polite and accommodating - particularly as we were a group of 17 ex-military motorcycle guests and kind of took over the outside seating to the bar at night, but as the rest of the guests were either ex-military too or had links they simply joined in the fun in the evenings. Excellent location to local needs as well as a good stocked bar with good restaurant facilities on site. So much so that we only went into town on one night during our stay after visiting the sites of The Somme

Alistair

Paid for breakfast. Very good selection. Parking was good. There seemed to be a skeleton staff but they were fantastic. Had dinner and that was lovely. Had a problem with one of the party being locked in the bathroom but staff came immediately to sort the problem. Offered a different room but could not be guaranteed air conditioning which was already on in the room and had cooled it. Can't believe the small number of staff managed to be everywhere and doing everything. Can't talk highly enough of them.

The most important asset of any customer facing business is the quality of staff and the IBIS Albert is very lucky in thius respect. All the staff we came in contact with were first class. The rooms we used, both our bedroom and public, were very clean. Our room, for the price, was excellent VFM and I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends. The one evening meal we had in the hotel was very good and not expensive for what we had.

Robert

Hotel was lovely and good sized very comfortable rooms. Staff all really helpful. Restaurant meals all good including the pre prepared ones Friday and Saturday as the kitchen isn't open. I had the chilli con carne with bread and side salad. Easy to find and very good access to Albert and the surrounding Military Cemeteries. Would definitely stay again
